About

I’m a freelance analog, RF, microwave design engineer with over 20 years of experience working in Silicon Valley.   I offer a range of engineering services from system design, circuit design, RF/Microwave design of transceivers, RF/Microwave design of filters, couplers, mixers, small antennas, etc., analog circuit design and CAD services (PCB schematic capture/layout, AutoCAD, and more).

  • MS in Electrical Engineering from Santa Clara University
  • BS in Electrical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University
  • 20 years experience in designing Microwave/RF circuits including Filters, PLLs, Mixers
  • 5 years experience in designing passive filters
  • 4 years of experience in RFIC design (EM Engineer)
  • 2 years experience system architect point-to-point microwave radio systems
  • 20 experience using HFSS and ADS (formerly Series IV)
  • 4 years experience with firmware (primarily microchip)
  • Previous defense experience

I have purchased my own copy of Altium Designer (PCB software). My company is listed as a service bureau outsourcing partner on the Altium website.

I also own my own copy of Sonnet for electromagnetic (EM) simulation – for RF/Microwave design and integration of RF components onto PCBs – such as filters, couplers, mixers, baluns, etc.

My office is located in San Jose, CA and includes includes a small RF/microwave laboratory suitable for small scale experiments, testing and prototyping. I own microwave vector network analyzers (VNA), Spectrum analyzers (SPA), microwave synthesizers – up to 26.5GHz.
